JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run is returning with its highly anticipated 2nd STAGE on September 25, 2026. Netflix has confirmed that the new episodes will be released weekly on Fridays.
The second stage continues the anime adaptation of Part 7 of Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, following Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli during the dangerous cross-country Steel Ball Run race.
How many episodes are in 2nd STAGE?
Netflix says the 2nd STAGE will consist of 11 episodes. New episodes will arrive weekly, making the series a major weekly anime event for the end of September and the following months.
The first stage is already available, allowing viewers to catch up before the second stage begins.
Which characters are joining the anime?
The latest promotional material introduces new characters including Mountain Tim, Hot Pants and Funny Valentine. Their arrival expands the cast surrounding the Steel Ball Run race and introduces more of the political, personal and supernatural conflicts that define Part 7.
Funny Valentine in particular is a major figure in the larger story, so his introduction is one of the most important developments highlighted by the new promotion.
What is Steel Ball Run about?
The story takes place in an alternate version of America in 1890. Johnny Joestar, a former jockey who is paralyzed from the waist down, becomes involved in the Steel Ball Run, a massive horseback race across the continent.
He joins forces with Gyro Zeppeli, and the race gradually develops into a much larger conflict involving mysterious powers, political interests and the fate of the country.
